This connection is designed to ensure that she and all sentient beings can succeed in achieving fullest potentiality of life.

Now, Abby has emerged from her journey of 12 years, and now, as a life transformative guide, she is helping others find their nobility and way,  so they too can embrace destiny and manifest their own mission in life.

SAINT PATRICK'S DAY (2015) RESURRECTION

Today is St Patrick’s Day, and it represents a New Beginning. 

Remembering and Practicing Who we Are prior to all that Arises in thought, feeling and experience. Being rather than Doing, Learning and Mastering the “Art of Doing Nothing”.

Relaxing into Grateful Knowing that where we are, who we are, what we’ve done and continue to do in this lifetime IS sufficient.

Yes, continue to work and serve creatively, appreciate luxury and beauty, desire fine things and rich experiences, but ONLY when rested in Being, knowing all is as it should be in this impermanent, changing and passing life experience.

No motorcycle, RV, river cruise, safari in Africa, or even a loving community of intimates and friends is “IT” unto itself,

We can only dance with the leprechauns and invoke true magic when we stay connected in Being with What is Greater than All that Is.

This Wondrous and Divine, but Easily Accessible Place (the Abode of the Gods) is Where we must Rest, especially when apparent difficulties arise. 

Anxiety, stress, fear, anger, or feeling that what we have and do is “not enough” inevitably arise in human life on Earth at present, and likely wherever “less than divine” life occurs in the manifest universe. 

But when we rise in this sacred place, all that creates worry and stress ceases to have meaning. 

Then, and only then, there is Nothing to Do but rest in our Being

Leslie Patten is the author of a new and very thought provoking book entitled “The Wild Excellence: Notes from Untamed America”. She has also written several eBooks on gardening, and for six years, an online blogging journal on wildlife issues from her home in the Absaroka Mountains adjacent to Yellowstone National Park. Leslie has worked with land her entire life, and still practices as a professional landscape designer in Marin County, California.  She has a degree in horticulture, as well as two years of formal naturalist training. Since moving to Wyoming in 2005, Leslie has worked with wolf, elk, and grizzly bear studies, and the Gloria Climate Change Project, in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.  She volunteers at the Buffalo Bill Museum of the West preparing museum quality specimens of birds and mammals.  Leslie enjoys hiking with her dog Koda, and exploring the Greater Yellowstone Area.

TRUST AND THE HORSE THAT SAVED MY LIFE

Early in the Day

 Several years ago, in the midst of intensive shamanic training in Peru, I learned a powerful lesson about trusting Spirit, regardless of what form Oneness chooses to appear.

Before leaving the USA, I had an intuition that something quite profound would happen involving horses. This became more real than I ever imagined,

We were participating in two sacred plant medicine ceremonies with an Andean shaman. These were done in very powerful places, and great transformative effects were being felt in the lives of all 20 participants

Late Afternoon - Approaching the Pass (we thought)

                          Between the two ceremonies, we traveled together on horseback over a 16,000 foot (5,300 meters) pass high in the Peruvian Andes.

It was an incredible experience for all of us. The Andean mountain scenery was spectacular and the weather was beautiful.

However, due to a major delay in starting we had to cross this pass at night, and it became very cold and dangerous. The ecstatic adventure of the day turned into a harrowing & life threatening event.

We were exhausted from long hours in the saddle, suffering from the very high altitude, and some of us were becoming hypothermic.The Peruvian guides with us confessed that they were lost, and the only being with us that knew the way was a donkey. 

Somehow the horses instinctively knew to follow the donkey but as it became darker It was increasingly difficult for even the horses to see, and people started getting hurt. Several fell from their horses - some into icy cold streams that we continually had to cross. Many of us began to see visions of ghostly spirits riding with us.
  

In my own case, I was exhausted, extremely cold, and afraid for my life. I knew that I could do nothing but trust in Moro, the horse I was riding. Without him, I might not survive.

By the grace of Spirit and the mutual help we gave to each other, everyone made it, even though it seemed for a time that some of us might be injured seriously or even die.

We were immensely grateful to the great Apu (mountain god) for allowing us passage, and to our horses for carrying us to safety.

 I owe my life to Moro, and I thank the great Horse Spirit for my time with him. I am deeply in his debt.

As the saying goes "All is well that ends well". Later in retrospect, we all realized that our harrowing journey across the mountains was yet another step in the great transformative process of our learning together.

And more importantly, I learned a most valuable lesson in trusting Spirit, this time in the form of a horse named Moro.

QUANTUM PHYSICS REVEALS ANCIENT SECRETS OF SHAMANISM

For thousands of years, shamans (medicine men & women) have healed people and transformed reality with seemingly magical powers that only they were able to access.

Traditionally, indigenous people became shamans in one of three ways:

* Receiving their “knowing” directly from Spirit

*Apprenticing with a master shaman for many years

* Being born into a family of shamans or growing up in a shamanic culture

Within their magical understanding of reality, shaman’s speak of sacred journeys to the Spirit Worlds where they retrieve parts of a person’s soul (or essence) that has been lost. Shamans connect with Spirit Guides for guidance in the use of plants and crystals to heal. Their spirit world journeys (whether through drumming rituals or ingesting plant medicine) are often accompanied by Power Animals who serve as  allies and protectors. The shamans then return with knowledge for healing, or about events to come which can then be used for prophesy, or even to alter future circumstances. 

Countless stories of amazing, seemingly miraculous healings and events involving shamans are part and parcel of the lore of almost every indigenous culture 

In my own shamanic training and practice, I too have encountered magical, miraculous and wondrous healing experiences in the realms beyond the three dimensional universe we all perceive as real. However, much of what I experienced in sacred journeys always seemed shrouded in mystery. “How and why did the magic occur?” and “Was it really real?” were questions often asked.

However, Quantum Physics has brought a new understanding to the nature of reality. Now-famous experiments within this discipline have demonstrated that at the most subtle levels of manifestation, focused attention and intention can change form and substance. Physicists now recognize and accept what has been understood by mystics since ancient times -  that there exists a “matrix field” in which everything manifest is connected.

From this scientific validation of ancient understanding, there is emerging within the field of vibrational (or energy) medicine, powerful healing modalities that directly “connect” practitioners with this “field” and allow instantaneous healings to occur. 

What seemed miraculous, and only within the capabilities of highly skilled and powerful shamans in times past, can now be done by ordinary people. 

 Such modalities as Matrix Energetics, Quantum Entrainment and Theta Healing all make use of this understanding in highly effective ways, although each has its own unique process for doing so. Scientific validation also makes such esoteric, cutting edge practices more acceptable by people in the mainstream, and consequently has generated great interest within the medical & healing community altogether.

This new “scientific” understanding in no way negates shamanism or the value of learning traditional shamanic healing practices. It only validates and helps to explain how shamans have been able to serve their communities so effectively for centuries.

In my own counseling and healing work I use both traditional shamanic and modern quantum approaches to healing as needed. One is not superior to the other. Rather,it is more about resonance with the client in meeting whatever challenges are presented.
